Panther wide receiver Steve Smith stretches for a long ball thrown by quarterback Jake Delhomme in the first quarter. Smith was unable to hold onto the pass and was also shaken up on the play but returned to help lead the Panthers in a 47 - 3 rout of the Redskins at Bank of America Stadium.

Rookie running back Jonathon Stewart struggles to retain his balance after being tripped up by Redskin safety Kareem Moore. Stewart regained his balance and ran the ball in for his first NFL touchdown. The Panthers defeated the Redskins 47 - 3 at Bank of America Stadium.

October 6, 2007 - Clemson, SC. Clemson running back C.J. Spiller (28) is wrestled down by Virginia Tech linebacker Xavier Adibi (11) and Virginia Tech cornerback Kam Chancellor (17).

Clemson University played Virginia Tech University at Memorial Stadium. Virginia Tech defeated Clemson, 41 - 13.

September 30, 2007 - Charlotte, NC. The Carolina Panther's wide receiver, Steve Smith (89) one hands a catch during a game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Smith had 5 receptions for 32 yards. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Carolina Panthers 20 - 7 in a game played at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte NC.

Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007 - Columbia SC. The University of South Carolina's wide receiver, Kenny McKinley (11) dives into the end zone to score another University of South Carolina touch down. The University of South Carolina defeated Mississippi State University 38 - 21 at Williams-Brice Stadium.

September 1, 2007 - Raleigh, NC. North Carolina State University's running back, Andre Brown (24) breaks free into the University of Central Florida's secondary during North Carolina State University's home opener. The game was won by the University of Central Florida, 25 - 23. The game was played at North Carolina States Carter Finley stadium.

September 3, 2007 - Clemson, SC. The Clemson Tiger's wide receiver Aaron Kelly (80) catches a ball deep in Florida State territory while Florida State University's corner back, Patrick Robinson (21) watches. Clemson University opened its season at home against Florida State University at Memorial Stadium. and defeated Florida State 24 - 18.

September 8, 2007 - Winston Salem, NC. Nebraska University's wide receiver, Maurice Purify (16) tries to cut around Wake Forest University's Marcus Williams (5) as Wake Forest University opened its season at home against Nebraska University at Groves Stadium. Nebraska defeated Wake Forest 20 - 17.

September 1, 2007 - Durham, NC. Duke University Blue Devils strong safety, Adrian Aye-Darko (28) deflects a long ball out of the hands of University of Connecticut's wide receiver, Jonathan Jean-Louis (3) to prevent a long gain as Duke University sought to end a 20 game losing streak in in the home season opener at Duke's Wallace Wade Stadium. Duke University led University of Connecticut Huskies 14 - 11 at half time but Duke lost the game 45 - 17.
